Bo Boxing is an educational tool for adults who work with children’s emotional development.
The Bo box consists of a small Bo face and a small mirror and the book “Bo shows his feelings”, all three parts packed in a beautiful and practical box.
It is relevant for children from the age of 3, as well as their parents and educators. The book Bo shows his feelings provides guidance and inspiration for how adults can share feelings with children, and helps children to understand their own and others’ feelings.
The material is easily accessible and fun for the children to sit on as they can move the magnets around them. This makes it easier for them to stay focused than just talking to the child or reading aloud.
The material is aimed at 3-10 year olds, but can also be used with advantage for slightly older children, e.g. children with special challenges such as children with social-emotional difficulties. It can be children with ADHD or autism.
It can also be less gifted children whose vocabulary around emotions is not particularly developed. Even slightly older children can enjoy the material.
The Bo Box can also be used as an entry point for difficult conversations when, for example, something happened on the playground, at school or at home that the child cannot or does not want to talk about. In addition, the material can be used sensibly in groups of children in daycare centers or when enrolling in school if work is generally done on well-being and social skills.
